TWU EICC Co-branded Strategic Collaboration
On 11th May 2022, Professor Philip G. Laird, Vice President, Innovation, Global and Academic Partnerships of Trinity Western University (TWU), and Professor Richard Li-Hua, Founder and President of ELITE Innovation College Cambridge (EICC), jointly signed a Co-branded Strategic Collaboration Agreement confirming ongoing dialogue at EICC Headquarter, ST Johns Innovation Centre,Cambridge, United Kingdom. Both parties shared an exciting vision in tackling the challenges and opportunities for developing future leaders and managers in the post COVID-19 era.
According to the agreement, the parties agree to carry forward the footprint, education ethos and quality regime of TWU with the strong features of innovation management, technology management, global entrepreneurship, and global leadership of EICC when they deliver the co-branded structures. These structures, which are co-branded and consolidated with global academic resources between Trinity Western University (TWU), Canada, and ELITE Innovation College Cambridge (EICC), UK, for the enhancement of student’s journey, are delivered via online and offline (O2O) mainly in Vancouver, Canada, Cambridge, UK and in EICC ELITE Global Colleges. Students who successfully complete these programmes and courses will be awarded TWU degree.

Both parties agree to encourage staff exchange, joint research & innovation activities, and student exchange, study abroad programmes, Summer School Programme or Winter School Programme, as well as bespoke programmes between the two institutions. The parties agree to jointly host online [Innovation Conferences and Regular Series] and offline Global Innovation Forum] and [University Presidents Forum] in Canada and the UK.
Both parties have agreed to take forward initial detailed discussion on the following provisions in relation to the Collaborative Activity and the Parties agree to try use their reasonable efforts to work towards a Formal Commencement Event in September 2022 in Cambridge for the following programmes with a co-branded model – FAR Centre and GXP Programming (total 30 programmes) including but not limited to:

BA in Sport & Leisure Management
BA in Corporate Communication
BA in Media and Communication
MA in Educational Leadership
MA in Leadership
MA in Leadership - Business Stream in Mandarin

In response to the future development trends, opportunities and challenges of the global higher education in the post COVID-19 era, the two parties share a great vision and high degree of understanding, and highly recognize the online and offline (O2O) hybrid education model.
The cooperation between the two parties aims to make full use of ELITE Innovation College Cambridge (EICC)’ four distinctive colleges (College of Innovation, College of Technology, College of Entrepreneurship,and College of Global Leadership) and the geographical advantages of its dual headquarters in Cambridge UK and Zhuhai China, and make full use of the Trinity WesternUniversity (TWU), Canada’s famous global brand and high-quality resources delivered both in Cambridge UK and Zhuhai China , providing academic and non-academic courses.
