WORKING TOGETHER WITH EMBRACING INNOVATION: ELITE COLLEGE JOINS HANDS WITH SINO-CAMPUS, BEIJING

At the beginning of the new year, ELITE Innovation College Cambridge and Beijing Sino-Campus signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for strategic cooperation and partnership on January 12th.

Both parties share a great vision in tackling challenges and opportunities in the areas of the global higher education and the economic globalization in post covid-19 era for developing future leaders and managers. Both parties agreed to work together in creating synergy in a broad range of possible educational and science & technology collaboration and technological innovation collaboration, to benefit from mutual educational and science & technology development interests, transferring areas of educational and science & technology initiatives into programmes, business models and business practice, as well as identifying strategic research, innovation，technology, entrepreneurship and global leadership [ELITE] agendas and areas of corporate and executive education, delivered online and offline (O2O) on campus and off campus. 

Sino-Campus is a Sino-UK education service provider, working with Chinese and UK education institutions to build a more entrepreneurial secondary and higher education sector in China. Established in 2003 during China’s first education reform and renamed as Sino-Campus International Education and Technology Limited (Sino-Campus) in 2012 to 'raise the profile of internationalization and enterprise' within educational institutions. Sino-Campus is currently working collaboratively with a wide range of partners including national and international Higher and Further Education institutions, businesses and policy-makers at national and local government, with on-going research to continuously improve our services.

ELITE Innovation College Cambridge was born during the pandemic with a mission to lead and push innovation. ELITE carries impact and significant connotation. ELITE is an acronym of e-learning of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship within an O2O Innovation University in the global higher education. Almost all the universities and colleges are currently delivering courses online based upon the MOOC experiences since the outbreak of Covid-19. Our intention of establishment of ELITE O2O (online and offline) Innovative Education Platform is an exploration of an innovative education pedagogy of integrating the delivery of programmes, knowledge, contents and education ethos with a global vision embedded in the teaching and learning strategy built into the technological system of O2O innovation university. The College, in many respects, is regarded as a globally-connected innovative and entrepreneurial university. The signing of the MoU confirms that both parties will work together in the promotion and delivery of the education of innovation and entrepreneurship in the institutions of the global higher education, notably in China and UK. Both parties will work together in the direction of delivery of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Symposiums, Forums and Workshops both online and offline in China and UK and in the direction of enabling the establishment of a Representative Office of the other party in Beijing, China and Cambridge, UK.

Both parties will make efforts immediately for the promotion and design, development and implementation of the bespoke Sino-foreign joint running school in China for mutual benefit in alignment with China’s strategy and policy in Sino-foreign running school.
